Hi All - I have been asked to implement password chages ppoicy at a site we support. During this process I also setup account lockout policy after 5 invalid attempts The option Allow Administrator Account lockout was enabled and now when trying to login I have the message - The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged onto. We have only used the correct password to logon - but this still has happened and waiting 30mins does not sort this issue. Also, I have no other Administrator account for this Domain Server. Does anyone have any suggestions on dealing with this ? The Policy has the following settings - Account Lockout Duration 30mins Account Lockout Threshold 5 Invalid logon attemps Allow Administrator Lockout Enabled Reset Account loclout Counter after 30mins77Views0likes5CommentsConnecting an existing domain to another windows server.
I am new to EC2's and am wanting to create a server that I can connect people on remotely. I have created a domain called "test.r1" I have a static IP on the EC2. Do i need to configure this on server manager. If so how do I do this. Through IPV4 properties. On the other server I have tried to add a domain controller to an existing domain but when typing the domain "test.r1" it displays "the server is not operational" I have been stuck trying to figure out why I can't connect my domain to this EC2629Views0likes1CommentDigital event: Windows Server Summit on September 16

When Will Windows Admin Center come out with a native desktop app? Especially, since there are now more than 1.3 billion Windows 10 devices alone. This should be a priority, customer and people want apps not web sites.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsWrap WAC in electron or create a react native version for local installs
Jeff Woolslayerand the WAC team Please wrap WAC as an electron app for at least local installs. This would allow better performance for WAC, allow for use in restricted areas where web browsers are not allowed, allow for the use of SmartCards on local installs, and many more things. Everyone, I've already added this to a request yesterday on uservoice: https://windowsserver.uservoice.com/forums/295071-management-tools/suggestions/38982271-wrap-wac-in-electron-or-create-a-react-native-vers So please upvote it1KViews0likes0CommentsDeploy and Install Windows Admin Center in an Azure VM
The great thing about Windows Admin Center (WAC) you manage every Windows Server doesn't matter where it is running. You can manage Windows Servers on-prem, in Azure or running at other cloud providers. Now if you want to use Windows Admin Center to manage your virtual machines running in Azure, you can use either an on-prem WAC installation and connecting it using a public IP address or a VPN connection, or you can deploy and install Windows Admin Center in Azure. This blog post will show you how you can deploy and install Windows Admin Center in an Azure virtual machine (VM).
