Re: Expiration Option
Hi JackBridge If you mean to keep all the data collected each month in a single form (and therefore results in a single Excel doc), I would simply use the same form and link but change the Start and End each month so the form opens and closes at the appropriate time. You won't need a new link with this method. Hope that helps. Best wishes Damien2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Form URL Link
Hi Hector_Herrera You can't change the URL but perhaps if the onsite devices were signed into an account on your tenancy, you could enable the option for only people in your org with the link can do the form. This way the form would not be accessible via any method except for those signed into their accounts (assuming your drivers don't have their own logins).414Views0likes0CommentsRe: How to change the email address that is used to send the responses to in a form?
Hi TFBSD I'm not aware of a link to the form response itself that can be used unless you've saved the details to a SharePoint list which would then allow you to link to that item using Power Automate. Personally, I use Power Automate to list the responses in an email at the time it is submitted, so there's no need to have a link to the form response itself. I do more often than not, also save the responses in SharePoint for future reference and/or depending on the task requirement. This templated flow will help you get started with a simple set up like mine above. Send an email to responder when response submitted in Microsoft Forms | Power Automate Hope that helps? If I have misunderstood anything, please let me know. Best wishes Damien5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Want to create a Form for Hiring process, but should have 3 level approval
Hi sunilbsrv2k Hopefully, my mock-up flow below will give you some ideas to assist you in your solution. Can possibly do a teams meeting to deep dive into the requirements if our timezones allow. Here's a simple flow where I can extract the submitter automatically from the form and then use those details to look up their manager (assuming your org has populated this detail in the Office 365 account). I then trigger an approval to the manager and once approved, it will notify the Department Manager to also approve/reject. Your first question - 1. - To get the Form ID of the submission, you need to reference the Response id field. This will mirror what you see in the results Excel spreadsheet of the form. Your second question - 2. - You could put a URL in the approval email to the live spreadsheet that the Department Head can review before approving. Not sure if you can embed live data as I have never tried, but the link to the data source should be sufficient I'd say. Observation I did see that you may have been indicating to have the entire process in one form. If this is so, it can't be done as once the form is submitted, it can't be revisited by others. The approval process I've highlighted will allow each touch point to manage their part and then flow to the next person. I suggest using a SharePoint list or something like it to capture each submission and each response in a single record. Then you can search for the desired ID and can see the status for each item that you need to action. This way, all information is captured in a single source and will be easy to filter and action. Hope that helps in some way. Happy to chat more or to be corrected if I have misunderstood anything. Hi Rob_Elliott I think you misunderstood my comment and are probably reading a bit too much into it. Guy_Boswell was indicating that my response to a recent question about retrieving the identity of an anonymous submitter, where I indicated that this isn't possible, was an obvious fact and not adding anything to the conversation. I responded that it isn't necessarily obvious to all users as we still see questions from MTC members asking if it's possible to know who the anonymous submitter is. As experienced users, we know that it isn't possible, and that is why I responded with a simple answer to let them know it isn't possible. This thread is long-running and if you read through you'll see repetitive questions from different users asking the same thing and us, as forum members, responding with the same answers. These are the educational contributions that we make to each other. I enjoy it. To your other comment, I agree that saying a form is anonymous and then secretly having a way to find out who submitted the response is a serious breach of privacy laws across many countries and is a terrible idea! I wouldn't ever suggest doing that and, legalities aside, I think it would be a massive breach of trust if Microsoft did that. Lastly, I think the Forms Pro features were rolled into Dynamics 365 Customer Voice which would already have embedded controls to manage GDPR and other legal requirements like Dynamics 365 Sales and Marketing (CRM) does today. Hi sunilbsrv2k That workflow you've started has you heading in the right direction. You can add to it and have that data downloaded to a file or to a SharePoint list, etc as you require. I suggest mapping your process flow so you can further adjust the solution in Power Automate. Let us know how you want to proceed and we'll do our best as a community to support you where we can. Cheers Damien P.S. In the meantime, you can explore the options for downloading content to a file such as below. It will simply depend on how you want the output to be (via email, email attachment, PDF, word doc, HTML file, etc):2.9KViews0likes8CommentsRe: Anonymous responses on Office forms: is there any way to have their email or name?
Hi Guy_Boswell I disagree that it's a truism that anonymous forms cannot retrieve the submitter, which is why we're still fielding questions about it today. I vaguely recall there being email address fields and I think custom link options (?) in Microsoft Forms Pro when that was around, though as you may recall it was an additional subscription cost for Pro at the time. Having that option in Microsoft Forms would be useful. A required text field to capture an email address, whilst not perfect, is a viable option for now. Once in a while, someone may make a typo in their email address, but overall, it's still a reasonable option to exercise for anonymous forms. Coupled with Power Automate workflows, it can be a powerful solution and I believe our tech community has the collective knowledge to assist with individual scenarios. I'm betting the good folks in the Microsoft Forms team have a backlog of requests to implement, and hopefully, feedback like this will make it into their thought processes and eventually their roadmap! Hi sunilbsrv2k Rob's suggestion is the way I do it too. Have a play with this Start an approval process and send email on Microsoft Form submission | Microsoft Power Automate With a bit of practice and research (Google search), you can create some terrific workflows that meet your needs and on which you can build more sophisticated solutions from. Good luck Damien P.S. Yes, I used Google. Don't unfriend me Microsoft 😅3.1KViews1like10CommentsRe: Attendees video not showing in Teams
Hi lisaqi Interestingly, since my last response to you, one of my colleagues had a similar issue. He was using Teams beta which was a tad glitchy, and I had him revert back to Teams classic (also had him do the sign-out and back in just in case). He hasn't reported the issue since then. If you are on Teams beta, I suggest doing the above and using this more stable classic version until the new Teams app is released. Good luck Damien3.4KViews2likes4CommentsRe: Attendees video not showing in Teams
Hi lisaqi Try this. 1. Go to the top right of Teams and click on your profile picture. 2. In the menu, click Sign out. 3. Sign in and see if the problem is fixed. I find several issues can be resolved by trying these steps. Hope it works! Cheers and best wishes Damien3.2KViews0likes6CommentsRe: ODATA Filter Query not valid when it should be
Strange issue BenMercer . Only other thing I can think of is to check that your value 'To Do' doesn't contain an extra space after 'Do'. That would break your filter query if it does have it. Otherwise, for now, I can't think of anything else to suggest trying. Cheers Damien
