Outlook Message Reminders
Does anyone at Microsoft have additional information to share about this feature, which just showed up on the Microsoft Roadmap, yesterday: Feature ID: 126517 Outlook: Message Reminders - Outlook will surface emails to the top of your inbox when we detect a reply is still needed. There is no additional information about: 1) User/Admin configuration options for this feature. 2) To which Outlook versions will this apply? Will this feature work in Office 2021 LTSC? 3) Will this be enabled by default? Rollout is set to start next month so I'm hoping something will be posted to the Message Center very soon. We're always told that the Message Center is the source of truth for new features, but it seems that many times items are posted to the Microsoft Roadmap like this one, with little real information. As a consequence, we admins have to play catch up to review features, enable/disable, open support tickets to ask questions, and train users.665Views0likes0CommentsRe: Download original video as an mp4
You can convert it to mp4 using VLC Media Player (an open-source video player from videolan.org). I just did this and it worked. • Download the app, install it, and launch. Download VLC. • Go to Media and pick Convert/Save. • Click Add and select a file for conversion. Hit Convert/Save. • Open the list of formats in the Profile section and pick Video – MP4. • Hit Browse and choose a folder for export. • Rename the file • Hit Start and wait for the conversion to complete.Re: "Manifest parsing has failed." in Developer Portal
inversiondk - I haven't tried the Developer Portal since my post on June 13. I ended up using the App Studio app in Teams instead of the Developer Portal. Using the App Studio app, I was able to validate the change to my existing app, test my app in Teams, and publish the update. Then, in the Teams Admin center, I approved and pushed the update.3.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: "Manifest parsing has failed." in Developer Portal
Sayali-MSFT The error when I checked the manifest in App Studio was, "Package acceptance validation error: Package Loading Failure Provided add-in package was not understood. Please, make sure that the file being submitted is a valid Office add-in package." But when I downloaded the manifest in App Studio instead of https://dev.teams.microsoft.com/, I was able to test, run, and install it just fine. It's only the Developer Portal that won't allow a preview in Teams.3.7KViews0likes19CommentsRe: "Manifest parsing has failed." in Developer Portal
Sayali-MSFT - It's been a month since the last post so thought I'd post again to see if any progress has been made. I'm still unable to deploy an update to the app we have sideloaded for all of our users. I notice that the error message now contains a hyperlink that says, "Copy error details to clipboard." When I do so, here's the result: Error while reading manifest.json: "manifestVersion" is required Here's the error window, now with the hyperlink: This is happening in https://dev.teams.microsoft.com/ after I click the "Preview in Teams" button.4.3KViews0likes21CommentsRe: How to Assign the Co-Organizer Role to Microsoft Teams Meetings
AshleyVanDM An updated rollout timeline was announced in a post (MC292796) in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center's Message Center, yesterday, May 26th. The date hasn't been updated in the Microsoft Roadmap item (81391) yet, which isn't surprising since Microsoft is horrible about keeping information consistent and up to date in the Roadmap. From the Message Center post: "When this will happen: We expect this feature to begin rolling out in late May (previously mid-May) and expect the rollout to be complete by mid-June (previously late May)."6.5KViews0likes8CommentsRe: Webinars - registration page doesn't match meeting time
We're really ooking forward to this fix. It's a real issue for us, as first time Webinar users don't realize it's happening until people try to connect and get confused about the date. Sounds like this fix is coming in the next few months, per previous posts.11KViews0likes1CommentRe: How to Assign the Co-Organizer Role to Microsoft Teams Meetings
I heard the following today from a Product Manager for the Co-Organizer role: "I wanted to provide an answer to your question: Yes, Co-organizers will be able to access and modify meeting options before, during, or even after the meeting -- just like the Organizer can."13KViews0likes2CommentsWebinar Feature Request - Hyperlinks in Registration Form
Our users are excited about the new registration form, but disappointed that they aren't able to add hyperlinks in the "Add description" or "Custom question" sections. In a registration, they often like to add "click here for more information" language. Please consider adding an "Insert Link" option, similar to Teams chat. I've just added this as a feature request on FeedbackPortal, if anyone would like to upvote. Thanks!Solved1.9KViews1like3CommentsRe: Missing "Add" button in custom app
Sayali-MSFT - I am having the same issue as the original poster. I don't have a "Microsoft 365 development account," so I'm not sure if I can follow your suggested steps exactly. I've already uploaded the app to the Teams Admin center. When I log into the teams client, and go to Apps, I see the custom app I've uploaded into the Teams Admin center in the "Built for your org" section. When I click on the app to add it, there is no add button. Similarly, in the "App Studio" app in the teams client, when I choose "Test and distribute" and click "Install," there is no install button, as pictured in the page you shared, https://microsoft.github.io/botframework-solutions/clients-and-channels/tutorials/enable-teams/3-install-app-studio/ I have run the Teams App Validator and the app passes.11KViews0likes10Comments
