Re: Does SharePoint Classic sites support Sensitivity Labels?
My First Answer: Migrate Classic sites to Modern as soon as possible. Talk to business, force them to understand, that they should not have Classic sites anymore. There is no hard stop for Classic site, but you are loosing several productivity features. Is there a time line to retire SharePoint online library classic experience? - Microsoft Q&A108Views0likes0CommentsRe: Does SharePoint Classic sites support Sensitivity Labels?
My Second Answer: Yes, you can apply Sensitivity Labels to SharePoint Classic sites using both the Admin Center and PowerShell: Admin Center: Navigate to the SharePoint Admin Center. Select the site you want to label. Click on the Policies tab. Under Sensitivity, click Edit and choose the label to assign to the site PowerShell: Ensure Sensitivity Labels are enabled. Create an Azure AD App Registration with permissions to assign sensitivity labels for SharePoint sites. Enable metered APIs and services in Microsoft Graph. Run the script provided in this article Assign Sensitivity Labels In SharePoint with MSGraph (PowerShell) | https://sposcripts.com/assign-sensitivity-labels-in-sharepoint113Views1like0CommentsRe: How Can We Extend Data Protection Beyond Microsoft 365?
Extending Microsoft Protection Policies to systems like SAP and HR solutions can indeed be challenging. However, there are tools and strategies that can help bridge this gap: HaloCORE: This solution by SECUDE extends Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MPIP) to SAP systems. It automatically applies sensitivity labels to data exports from SAP, ensuring consistent data protection without manual intervention. Endpoint Targeting: Some organizations have found success by targeting endpoints. For example, if a Microsoft laptop accesses an on-premise file, it gets labeled using existing policies. Microsoft Purview: This comprehensive information protection solution helps discover, classify, protect, and govern sensitive information across various platforms. Hi Folks, I just tested it ten minutes ago (March 11th, 2025), and that was a problem with the VPN service. Once I disabled the VPN (temporarily for 10 min) and refreshed the browser, the system processed requests and I now added my two other customer tenants into multiple GDAPs.3.4KViews1like0CommentsRe: Built-in Qualys scanner vs private license Qualys
theultrazuredude The answer (partially) is concluded in the first two paragraphs of the documentation (you posted it): " If you've enabled Microsoft Defender for Servers, you're able to use Microsoft Defender for Cloud's built-in vulnerability assessment tool as described in Integrated Qualys vulnerability scanner for virtual machines. This tool is integrated into Defender for Cloud and doesn't require any external licenses - everything's handled seamlessly inside Defender for Cloud. In addition, the integrated scanner supports Azure Arc-enabled machines. Alternatively, you might want to deploy your own privately licensed vulnerability assessment solution from Qualys or Rapid7. You can install one of these partner solutions on multiple VMs belonging to the same subscription (but not to Azure Arc-enabled machines)." For many solutions, we have BYOL or Included license. The client could : not have Qualys (then it will buy license integrated) have a licence in the org (like I have sixty-ish Windows Server licence in the drawer) and used existing to pay less This flexibility allows organisations to use a different configuration, depends what they have (or not) in the environment.880Views0likes0CommentsRe: How Many Servers for SharePoint 2019 Farm?
jafnva If you are thinking about only two servers, then you need to have a very precisely arranged internal SLA for your department. Remember that one server (or one role in the farm) is often a single point of failure. I would suggest hiring a SharePoint admin first then set up a farm in her/him/they name. There is several setting that you can set up only once over the farm and you need to do it right. One example is Distributed Cache, which sometimes is not recommended for small (or small utilized farms). Look for the documentation Plan for feeds and the Distributed Cache service in SharePoint Server . Another suggestion is to set up properly each of one database installed on a dedicated SQL Server, bot databases for SharePoint (user's DBs) and SQL Server (system's DB) and decide if you will have critical data there because you will need to use SQL Server AG, and not all SP dbs supporting it. Many, many if, if, if...2.9KViews1like0CommentsRe: New security and compliance exams
Don't think so. At least not in the perspective of the first year of those exams. Maybe it will be something more advanced, but even now if you will look for al SC-xxx (maybe except SC-900) from my perspective SC-300/400 are much more advanced than AZ-500 or MS-500. They are focused on the more in-depth area, so I think, even they will not have 'expert' word in naming convention, they are not as pell very easy. I think we should wait a little more. Microsoft Learn need to know it those exams (even important form my perspective) will be interesting and important for clients or not. Then some evolution is - as always - possible. Those exams didn't just show up. I remember a discussion about upcoming plans of "SC-type" exams (even without the name) over Microsoft Ignite in 2019, especially compliance part (frankly, next hour after I passed AZ-500 on the lunch break). It was under NDA, and any disclosure wasn't possible, but they are not just showed up.1.4KViews0likes0Comments- 1.8KViews0likes0Comments
Re: Unable to see documents when searching by folders in Modern Document Libraries
Hi, I had this case in few clients. Last two-three times we simply eliminated all folders. From that point, we have no folders in the library at all (and the client really don't need it) as well we, and the client is happy with this. It was necessary for some small adjustments to the user's behavior, but we solved this few weeks later. Tobias6.4KViews2likes1CommentRe: Restrict/Limit Internal Document Sharing
Hi Alexander, Did you look for IRM solutions in Office 365? I had no examples (aka print screens) here but if you look for those two articles: Set up Information Rights Management (IRM) in SharePoint admin center | http://bit.ly/SetUpIRM Apply Information Rights Management to a list or library | http://bit.ly/ApplyIRM4SPO As well you can look for this article: http://bit.ly/ExternalSharingWithIRM But because the idea of SPO is Sharing - disabling this option for specific users could be hard. Did you try to set up permissions for the library? When permission is set up for library eg 'payroll' with the permissions settings we can restrict other users to see documents. And another policy could prevent to share outside the group. But I assume it will be relatively hard. Tobias1.8KViews1like2Comments
