Lost access to the security workspace in Partner Center
Last month all of a sudden all our users lost access to the security workspace in Partner Center and despite holding the global admin role and security administrator role, it still does not show up. Can someone help as the partner center help does not let you log a support ticket for this.578Views0likes2CommentsRe: Microsoft Store Apps not detected by Defender TVM
MikeP751860 I found the same when testing the product, it wasn't just store apps that it didn't detect, but also 10 year old vulnerabilities like the win padding CVE . I opened a support ticket and after 3 months I got nowhere, they just said that there were things that it did not detect. I asked for a list of limitations and never got anywhere and they have tried to hide the issue by deleting the github page where i raised the lack of this information in the documentation too. Here is my list of some of the ones that tenable finds that MDVM does not find. Did you ever get any further or did you give up on MDVM ?1.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Open Files In Desktop App By Default now license based and not functioning within Business Prem
I dont know if there has been a change of policy, but the release notes for the new teams says "Choose where files open Teams will now honor the settings you’ve set for how to open Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files." taken from https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-s-new-in-the-new-microsoft-teams-03f99a8a-0ba9-477c-af88-389d294425c3 however if I try to set the default it says "switch to class Teams and open the link? This link is not supported in the new teams. Select continue to switch to classic teams and open the link. Typical Microsoft !6.6KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Reaction's notification in the activity feed
Wouldn't it be nice if one of the developers/product managers that works on teams actually bothered to take the time to look at these forums and make a comment occasionally. it is not as if they bother to read their own feedback forums either. there are about 6 duplicate requests for this in the feedback forum, but no-one from microsoft can be bothered read them & merge those together.5KViews1like2CommentsRe: The sudden removal of public folder access in outlook on the web
Paypercorn - in case you haven't seen it - Microsoft have now released the toggle. Hi all, Based on your feedback to use public folders, we are providing you with a toggle to switch to the old People Hub experience on Outlook Webapp to use Public folders. You can continue to use the new experience if you do not use Public folders. Public folders are available to view in "To:" in compose scenario in mail. Thanks, Gargy Shekhar1KViews1like2CommentsRe: Open Files In Desktop App By Default now license based and not functioning within Business Prem
This is so sneaky and underhand. The change has not been announced in the message centre to my knowledge and I have wasted 3 hours trying to find the answer to this. This is why I have so much trouble selling cloud software to customers, because vendors can just turn things off at will or make them premium - which was never an issue with a perpetual copy of office.9.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: The sudden removal of public folder access in outlook on the web
SandraGoulet I chased my microsoft contact on this again yesterday as something was due around April 28th, their response was: "We were on track to the rollout but we were hit by a road block. We are actively trying to resolve the issue. I will get back to you on the updated timeline by tomorrow/day after."1.3KViews1like5CommentsRe: The sudden removal of public folder access in outlook on the web
1) Gal contacts are not easily editable by everyone in the company and have no way of syncing them from outlook mobile to your phone contacts, you have to manually copy them - no good for contact sharing https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/how-to-sync-microsoft-gal-global-address-list-on/a4cf4ddf-a68c-47b3-914b-a1ab62c7b783#:~:text=For%20adding%20all%20your%20GAL,selected%20%3E%20right%2D%20click%20and%20select 2) Do you use your own product?? - the documentation clearly states "You cannot access shared contacts list for a shared mailbox from Outlook Web App." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/troubleshoot/calendaring/how-to-share-calendar-and-contacts why should I open a support ticket to get you to restore a facility that you just took away with no notice or explanation?? I have a day job to do supporting my customers - I understand that you work for Microsoft and should raise this directly yourself - don't put this one on me. It's no wonder no-one wants to rent cloud software when features can get removed with no notice, it just destroys people's trust in the product. P.S. no-one from Microsoft ever interacts on the feedback portal it is a total waste of time.7.1KViews3likes3CommentsRe: The sudden removal of public folder access in outlook on the web
2 months on and no answers on this, no clarity about what is happening regarding public folder contacts and no explanation of alternative methods of how contacts sharing between users is supposed to work now in outlook on the web. Please Bhalchandra_Atre-MSFT we need clarity on this matter.7.1KViews1like5CommentsRe: The sudden removal of public folder access in outlook on the web
This is total rubbish - so you have removed public folder access to contacts and say "just use outlook for windows!" - so how are mac & linux users supposed to access those contacts now ? Why was this change not communicated through the message centre to you customers before you did it ? Why was the blog post not made in the exchange blog which is where I expect to look for changes to Exchange?7.4KViews0likes6CommentsRe: The sudden removal of public folder access in outlook on the web
Bhalchandra_Atre-MSFT Any chance of explaining why the sudden change? Also why this change is not documented anywhere or mentioned in the message centre. Why is Owa not allowed to use shared contacts in any way now either via public folders or via a shared contacts folder in a shared mailbox?7.5KViews0likes10Comments
