Please find some guidelines for the presenters and producers which will be helpful for the future events : Make sure that you check the send bandwidth for all the presenters and producers during the pre-live mode on the final day of the event. It has to be minimum 1.2 Mbps. While running the live event make sure that at home no other streaming sites are being used by other family members like (YouTube, Netflix etc.) A wired internet connect would be recommended over a wireless connection. Make sure none of the presenters or producers are forwarding the links from one to another which they receive in the mailbox from the organizer of the event. For the audio / video content that include system audio feature is only available on Windows OS, so make sure you are using a Windows device whenever you have video or PPT with embedded audio in it. While including the system audio, make sure no other audio programs are playing in the background like (Spotify, Amazon Music etc.), because the system audio will include that as well. Once the live event is started, the producer should mute everyone, and this is each presenter’s responsibility to unmute themselves before they start talking. Please don’t touch the END button in the live event before the actual end time of the live event , because once the event is ended can’t be re-started. However, if you want to leave the event at any point of the time then you can choose LEAVE option which is on the right top corner of the producer view and re-join the live whenever you want to. All the presenters and producers need to join the live event using a Desktop application on Windows or MAC. If any presenter or producer join the live event using iOS devices like (I-pad / I-phone) or Android phones then they will be re-directed to the attendee link because joining as a presenter or producer on Mobiles or I-pad devices is not available. The Live event's producer or presenter view not yet supported on LINUX which includes CHROMEBOOK as well. Make Sure that you have the latest version of MS Teams and Browsers if you are watching the event as an attendee. For the best audio and video sync, it's recommended having a wired headset instead of a BLUETOOTH headset to avoid the audio delay. Make sure there are no other meeting app running apart from MS Teams. Please kill the other meeting apps (Webex, Zoom, Skype for business etc.)from Task manager to avoid echo issues during live events. Regards, Susheel.4.3KViews2likes2CommentsMS Stream ingest URLs (Usage and purpose)
What is the use and purpose of two ingest URL when it comes to encoder based events (MS Stream, Yammer or Teams encoder event) : We use AMS as a backend, here is what their documentation states on that (found here). Single encoder double-pushing to both primary and secondary URLs: The main purpose of this scenario is to provide more resiliency to network fluctuations and jitters. Some RTMP encoders don't handle network disconnects well. When a network disconnect happens, an encoder might stop encoding and then not send the buffered data when a reconnect happens. This causes discontinuities and data loss. Network disconnects can happen because of a bad network or maintenance on the Azure side. Primary/secondary URLs reduce the network problems and provide a controlled upgrade process. Each time a scheduled network disconnect happens, Media Services manages the primary and secondary disconnects and provides a delayed disconnect between the two. Encoders then have time to keep sending data and reconnect again. The order of the disconnects can be random, but there will always be a delay between primary/secondary or secondary/primary URLs. In this scenario, the encoder is still the single point of failure. The other redundancy scenarios listed there are not supported by stream. If the customer has sufficient bandwidth, a single encoder that can dual push (post encoding, not encoding twice), then dual pushing can provide help in some scenarios. However, when used incorrectly it can cause problems (e.g. two different encoded streams). In all cases we strongly encourage testing the setup being used including doing things like disconnecting, reconnecting as well as failing over to any backup encoder. It is also extra important that the encoders be configured for CBR (Constant bit rate) when dual pushing. Two different encoders must not be sending to primary and secondary at the same time. If a backup encoder is used, ideally it should be as close to the configuration of the primary as possible. But it should be tested thoroughly for fail over, and should take into account that updating one encoder or the other may cause failures in scenarios where previously it had succeeded. If the encoders are different, it may also be worth considering having a backup stream event that is separate. I hope this helps.. Cheers !!Microsoft WEBINARS
Get started with Webinars in Microsoft Teams today Full-featured webinars for rich customer engagements Now you can organize and hold interactive meetings and webinars for up to 1,000 attendees with Teams. Use end-to-end webinar support that’s as simple as setting up a Teams meeting—including custom registration pages and attendee emails, rich presentation options, host controls, such as the ability to disable attendee chat and video, and post-event reporting understanding participation and to follow up with attendees. If you need to reach more than 1,000 attendees, Teams meetings can seamlessly scale to accommodate a 10,000-person view-only broadcast experience. During this time of increased remote work, we’ve expanded the attendee limit to 20,000 through the end of this year. Everyone can present like a pro With PowerPoint Live and Presenter mode in Microsoft Teams, anyone can deliver more impactful and engaging presentations to show up in a more polished and professional way with your audience. By bringing together Microsoft’s rich history with presenter experiences in PowerPoint and the collaboration power of Teams, presenters can feel more confident and capable during online presentations. You can view upcoming slides, notes, meeting chat, and the audience in a single view while presenting. Meanwhile, attendees can personalize their experience by privately navigating the content at their own pace or using high contrast mode and screen readers to make content accessible. Coming soon, slide translation capabilities allow attendees to select their native language and automatically have slides translated for them—without changing the view for other attendees. Presenter mode empowers presenters to customize how their video feed and content appear to the audience. The first of three options, Standout mode, shows the speaker’s video feed as a silhouette in front of the shared content; Reporter mode shows content as a visual aid above the speaker’s shoulder, similar to a news broadcast; and Side-by-side mode shows presenter’s video feed alongside their content as they present. Standout mode will be available later in May, and Reporter and Side-by-side will roll out shortly after. Continue to engage with attendees after your webinar A webinar is just one touchpoint in your customer engagement efforts. After the event ends, easily access reporting bringing attendee information into your customer relationship management (CRM) applications for lead management and follow-up. And, beginning this month, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing customers can export attendee data directly from Teams to automatically create campaigns and customer journeys for ongoing nurture streams. Microsoft 365 Business Standard and Microsoft 365 Business Premium plans will include all the features above for up to 300 attendees. Hello Everyone, I know many of you are already hosting Teams live events but might have heard different types of notifications sounds during the live events. This can very be distracting, unprofessional or disturbing. Please find some important ways to ignore these dings and pings sound during the event: 1. Go to the settings of your Teams Client and choose your status to DND (Do not disturb), by doing that you will not hear any ping sound while receiving any message , though you will be receiving all the messages from others but silently. Checkout the below screenshot as a reference : 2. Second way , If you go the right bottom corner of your system's task bar and hit the notification center and click on the below icon shown in the screenshot and set it to PRIORITY only , you could actually avoid the unexpected sounds from your system during the event : 3. And the last way would be , go to the start menu of your windows and type FOCUS ASSIST , open the setting and choose PRIORITY ONLY I hope this will help you to produce the events more efficiently. Cheers !! #Re: Don't have live event option on teams
Hi MPenson, Thanks for posting your question. To have the ability to create live events, you need to have E1, E3 or E5 lisc. If you are an EDU company / partner, then you need to have A3 or A5 lisc. If you think that you are currently holding any of these lisc. and still don't see an option to create a live event, then please make sure that your exchange mailbox is online. Lastly ,check with your Teams Admin, if your account has permissions to create live events or not. Thank you~~8.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Unable to Add Presenters to a live Event
