Netflix “are you still watching?” Prompt for Microsoft Teams meeting
Teams meetings don’t end until the last person leaves the meeting (unless a presenter specifically ends the meeting by clicking end meeting). Sometimes someone will join a meeting, then walk away, meaning one person is left in the meeting and it keeps going. If the meeting is recorded this leaves a long tail on the recording of no activity. Coming in August, If a user is the sole participant in a meeting that has been identified as “stale”, the user will see a dialog prompting to end the call or dismiss the notification. If no action is taken, the meeting will automatically end. Microsoft hasn’t given us a definition of ‘identified as stale’ yet. What do you think of this feature? If you are mid migration and or a Teams admin you could raise a ticket with MSFT re the issue Do you own both the teams config and the SfBS config? If the end state is to get to 100% teams in a reasonable time it might be worth living with the pain, but if you are saying Teams/SfBS for a while worth trying to hunt down the issue12KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Using 2 instances of Teams
Generally speaking your experience in the desktop app and Teams web app should be the same. Do you have an account at company A and a different account at company B, or are you a "guest" at company B (i.e. you "tenant switch" to get to company B team) Could you screenshot the difference to better understand the issue? The web app should prompt you to enable notifications at some point. I'm not sure if turning them on and off in the web app will force that prompt or not Thanks2.3KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Teams video - Other users video not showing - macOS
By default this should all work fine there is an option to turn off incoming video to reduce bandwidth use, but you would have to had selected it (under the three dots) Can you reboot and try again. If that doesn't work uninstall/reinstall Teams Are there any other mac users you can test with on your tenant to see if its just you/your machine? Thanks2KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Teams Diagnostic code 500/16825
David, Some questions to try to help 1. Can you contact other users via federation - i.e. is this the only user you can't chat to 2. Can the other user talk to people other than you via federation? Trying to narrow down where the issue might be. Tenant admins can block users from using federated chat or it might be another issue If you want to share the contact details on DM I can see if I can federate to them or to you thanks12KViews0likes8Comments
