Sensitivity column for my document libraries

Brass Contributor

Hi,

How do I get rid of the "Sensitivity" column ? I have a library with only pdf files and all I get is questions from end users why I gives an error ...

Can I hide it ? Why does it show up ?

Thank you,

Marc

Hi @Marc Nemegeer,

To hide the "Sensitivity" column in a SharePoint library, you can follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the SharePoint library where the "Sensitivity" column is visible.
2. Click on the "Library" tab in the ribbon at the top of the page.
3. Click on the "Library Settings" button in the Settings section of the ribbon.
4. On the Library Settings page, under the Columns section, click on the "Sensitivity" column name.
5. In the Column Settings page, scroll down to the "Column settings" section.
6. Select the "Hidden (Will not appear in forms)" option.
7. Click the "OK" button to save the changes.

By hiding the "Sensitivity" column, it will no longer be visible in the library views, and end users will not see it or encounter any errors related to it.

Please note that you need sufficient permissions to modify the library settings. If you don't have the necessary permissions, you may need to contact your SharePoint administrator or the person responsible for managing the library to make the changes for you.

Kindest regards

Hi Leon1311,
No this does not work .... The sensitivity column is not in the list of library columns. And it is not present in the list content type ... And I cannot add it as an existing list column to the list content type ... Some hidden column ?

Any other thoughts ?

Kind regards,
Marc
