Moving folders with metadata and versions
How do people best move folders with files that have version history in a way that maintains the version history?
Is the only way with a third party tool and if so is there an inexpensive one?
Thnks,
Rob.

Does the Modern Library experience allow moving with metadata and versions?
EDIT: Trying to understand this in more detail:
Thanks,
Rob.
- I would say "No", but let's see if the product team can confirm this or not
We used Sharegate for a client and changed the folder structure to Metadata, it was quite easy using Sharegate.
- Depends on where you are moving them from. If it's within a site collection I believe manage content & structure would work for you just fine. Otherwise I would probably go with a 3rd party tool.

- Vadivelu_BalusamyIron ContributorAs said by Juan, ShareGate,Metalogix are good for migration tools as per my view. I used both tools in my career, both are good. It will give more features which you expected in day to day life.
- Lepide Migrator, Sharegate are the ones I know...Sharegate simply rocks...depending on the amount of data to be migrated, you might also consider Metalogix and AvePoint offerings
- RobOKBronze ContributorThanks! So only 3rd party tools?
