Connect SP library to teams
Hello,
is there a way I can connect a SP library and or one drive to Microsoft teams channel, but can I do this using the admin centre and then I pick which users have access rather via adding a tab in each users teams software?
hope this makes sense - I’m fairly new to this
Thank you

Hi andy471100
you can also to into your files tab in teams and select the three dots and then "Add Cloud storage"
and then select SharePoint
now you can enter a url to a SharePoint Library (from any site)
Now you have that library as a linked folder in your team's files tab.
If you now create subfolders in that folder that have different permissions, then your users can navigate into that folder but see a different folder structure.

Sven Hello andy471100
the teams tabs aren't permission driven, when you add an tab all the members can see the tab, regardless of the underlying entitlement of the library.
More about how you add to teams: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-a-sharepoint-page-list-or-document-library-as-a-tab-in-teams-131edef1-455f-4c67-a8ce-efa2ebf25f0b
Or add cloud storage: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-a-cloud-storage-service-to-teams-4e1e1a12-21ae-4616-b539-33d11e4cd68e
Workarounds for you<:
1. Create a SharePoint page and add a quicklink, activate target audience for quicklink to your library and add a group (only people in the target audience group will see the link)
2. Create a link in your library and set permissions on this link (not recommended, but it works ;))
Best, Dave
