I have synced my sharepoint folder in onedrive.

Onedrive was offline and not syncing with cloud due to some issue so reinstalled onedrive.

During installation i selected to sync existing directory.

After synchronization, one folder get removed from my onedrive. Is there any way to restore it ?

To recover a deleted folder from OneDrive or SharePoint, you can follow these steps:

1) Check the Recycle Bin: Both OneDrive and SharePoint have a Recycle Bin where deleted files and folders are stored for up to 93 days. Navigate to the Recycle Bin and restore the folder from there.

2) Second-Stage Recycle Bin: If the folder isn’t in the main Recycle Bin, check the second-stage Recycle Bin for SharePoint, which retains items after they're deleted from the first-stage Recycle Bin.

Reinstalling OneDrive should help fix syncing issues. However, when you reinstall OneDrive, here are a few important steps to follow to ensure the smooth re-syncing of your SharePoint folder:

1. Verify SharePoint Folder Link

After reinstalling OneDrive, ensure that the SharePoint folder is still linked correctly in OneDrive. If not:

  • Go to SharePoint: Access your SharePoint site where the folder is stored.
  • Sync the folder: Click on the "Sync" button in SharePoint, which will prompt OneDrive to sync the folder to your computer again.

2. Check Sync Settings

  • Make sure your OneDrive app is set to sync automatically. You can verify this by:
    • Right-clicking the OneDrive icon in the system tray.
    • Selecting "Settings."
    • Under the "Account" tab, ensure the SharePoint site is listed and syncing.

3. Check for Sync Conflicts

  • After reinstalling, OneDrive may try to re-sync all files, which could create file duplication or conflicts.
  • Check for any conflict notifications and resolve them by keeping or renaming the updated files.

4. Verify File Paths

Ensure the local file paths for synced folders remain unchanged after reinstallation. Changing the default paths could cause syncing issues with SharePoint.

5. Recheck Sync Progress

After the setup, check if OneDrive is syncing properly by:

  • Clicking on the OneDrive icon in the system tray.
  • Checking for any errors or issues in the sync status window.

If everything is set up correctly, the SharePoint folder should begin syncing again, and any files modified while offline should upload to the cloud.
