Legacy CSP E3 transition to NCE (after migration)

Thank you for your patience as I'm catching up on posts submitted when our US offices were closed on 23/11 & 24/11 (due to a national holiday - Thanksgiving).

Having the Teams new structure changes in mind, the resellers asks if by migrating manually to NCE prior the Microsoft-led migration, he would be able to utilize the existing E3 subscription "with Teams", or he should proceed by purchasing a new E3 subscription "without teams" plus the standalone SKU for Teams?"

If I understand your question, per the Partner confidential document titled "Changes to Microsoft 365 & Microsoft Teams licensing in the European Economic Area + Switzerland", existing customers on legacy CSP subscriptions of Office 365 E1/E3/E5, Microsoft 365 E3/E5 (as well as Microsoft 365 F1/F3, and Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Business Premium) will be able to migrate their existing with Teams subscriptions to NCE.  After migrating their existing subscription to NCE, they can then add seats, renew, and upgrade using transitions on those subscriptions.
