Video call on IOS app for iPad
I had my first meeting through Microsoft Teams the other day, I was using the MT IOS App on iPad, I could hear the other person, and I could see them, but they could not see me, and I could not find the option to turn on the camera function. Is there a way to make a test call using the IOS app on iPad? So that I can troubleshoot the camera problem and be better prepared for my next meeting?

Cam_Brown In order to mimic a test call one can just create a new Teams meeting in the IOS app, there is no need to specify invites list. Join that meeting. From this point it will be possible to setup and check video settings. Then start a recording, check the recording in the meeting chat history for audio quality.

Great article by Tony Redmond should help you make that Test call and see the camera connectivity
Hope that answers your question
Best, Chris- Cam_BrownCopper ContributorHi Chris, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I believe this solution works for desktop Microsoft Teams applications, however the steps and subsequent settings options mentioned in the article are not available on MT iOS mobile app for iPad.
Cheers,
Cam- Ugh, sorry Cam you right. Doesn’t look like there is a test call functionality in IPad. I thought there may be being a larger UI.
In that case,
1.) Later today I will raise a uservoice here for the functionality
https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/
I will PM you when I have raised it
2.) I would recommend test calling or a meeting within your business to test the camera settings. If you don’t have another user within your business then a colleague within another organisation who uses Teams would suffice. Once it is setup and working then it should persistently work for all future calls/meetings.
Hope that answers your question!
Best, Chris
