Video and Sharing is disabled by the Administrator v1.5.00.33364

I have one user who is unable to make calls, Video or Share screen.
They are using a Microsoft Surface 3 with Windows 10 Pro (10.0.19044).

This issue only occurs on the Desktop application for Teams.
Mobile and Web apps work fine; other than no recipient notifications when they call.
I've ensured that Teams Desktop has been updated to Version 1.5.00.33364 and that there are no differing policies for this user in Teams Admin.

Teams does not recognise and Audio input or output devices and claims the use of "Custom Configuration" in the devices section of settings, these devices are available and work fine on the web app.

The VideoCall and Share Icons are Greyed out for the user and a notice states that "... is disabled by the administrator" and when the user attempts to Join an existing call or select the audiocall option it does nothing for 5-15 seconds then a popup states "Something went wrong, Try again in a few minutes".

Lastly the users status in teams has not updated since the 10th even with the use of the Web and Mobile apps not just as "Away" but also "Last seen 10/01".

There are much older threads citing similar issues however I don't seem to be able to access the replies made to the discussion.

I've tried the obvious solutions below:
Clear appdata Cache
Disable/Enable Hardware Accelleration
Uninstall/Reinstall teams fresh from MS
Sign out/In
New Windows Credentials / Cahnge password and reauthenticate device.
Reviewed Registry for odd conf.
Updated Local Office App

Any help would be appreciated, and I will continue to test solutions and advise if anything resolved the issue.

  • Oddly enough.
Uninstalling the desktop app, reconnecting the computer to the domain, then restarting, then reinstalling Teams, and then restarting again seemed to have resolved the issue.
