The Teams Org Chart is incredibly handy, but it seems to have a few quirks. When someone leaves the company, we disable their AD account, and then we convert them to a shared mailbox for a time period.
These users still show up in the Org Chart. Has anyone come up with a way to have AD Disabled users excluded from the org chart? Best I can tell, a full delete is really the only way to get them out of the org chart.
Does it still use the old SharePoint Profile sync to manage what shows up? I am not sure where to start at trying to only show active employees. Teams is where the exposure is. But I suspect maybe it comes down to a process more than anything else?

SolutionHey @toddpurifoy
Hope you are well! This is an interesting one to me because I have worked in the org chart for a while.
What about in Entra/Azure AD if you remove that users details including Department, and then remove Manager etc. so it's literally just first name, last name and UPN. Does it still show after removing all that information?
Best, Chris

But how do you handle for example OneDrive offboarding? When you delete the Manager, the information, that files will be deleted in some days will not be sent to the Manager 😕
Is there any solution to this problem, without deleting the managers? There should be a filter, that disabled users are not visible in org chart

@toddpurifoy I am facing the similiar issue where in one example old employee is still showing up in org chart of his/her manager in teams and most of the other cases old employees automatically disappears from respective managers org charts in teams and outlook despite of their accounts in O365 still has manager present in both the cases.

Re: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/teams-org-chart/m-p/3588077
I am wondering if it is possible to filter the Org Chart based on membership in an Azure Group? I do not have access to configure, but was looking for a list of attributes that can be filtered on to confirm...but could not find.
I have terminated members in special group...until accounts are deleted. If I could filter out this group, terminated employees would not show up in the Org Chart. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
