Teams on Mac with external users often shows "Unknown User"

I have an M1 Mac which has multiple external teams where users often show up as "Unknown User".  Doesn't happen on my intel Mac, my iphone, or the web version.  I have cleared my MS Teams cache, and re-installed the app on the M1 Mac.
