Teams Meeting Recording - Auto Expiration

Brass Contributor

Hey guys,

I have a question and I was wondering someone knows this in detail.

If we enable meeting recording with auto expiration for 60 days for example. The meeting recording will be deleted after the 60 days, got it. But when I move this meeting recording to a different location - for example a SharePoint Communication page with a bigger audience - the meeting was a workshop or something else which should be accessible for everyone. What will happen then? Will the meeting recording expire and will be deleted also on the communication page? I searched for that in the community and I could not find anything about this.

Thanks for help!

I think I found something here: https://office365itpros.com/2021/08/03/teams-meeting-recordings-retention/
That means - I need to copy the file and I should not use the same file.
That's correct :)
