Teams Call History

When viewing the call history in Teams, it appears not all of the history is showing. For example, it will show all of my calls today, most of the calls yesterday and then its spotty for the last few months. Some days are completely gone while it shows a few call from 2 months ago. Teams Missing History

  • Hi PHarrell ,

If you're experiencing missing or incomplete call history in Microsoft Teams, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Refresh the call history: Sometimes, the call history display may not update properly. Try refreshing the call history by clicking on the "Refresh" or "Reload" button in the Teams app. This can force the application to retrieve the latest data from the server.

    2. Check the Teams settings: Ensure that your Teams settings are configured to retain call history. Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the Teams app, then select "Settings." Go to the "Calls" section and verify that the option to save call history is enabled.

    3. Check your Teams client version: Make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft Teams installed. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can address issues related to call history. Check for updates within the Teams app by clicking on your profile picture or initials, then selecting "Check for updates."

    4. Use the Teams web app: If you're using the Teams desktop app, try accessing Teams through the web app (https://teams.microsoft.com). Sign in with your account and check if the call history appears correctly. Sometimes, the issue may be specific to the desktop app, and using the web app can help you determine if that's the case.

    5. Clear Teams cache: Clearing the cache of the Teams app can resolve various issues. Close Teams, navigate to the cache folder (refer to previous responses for specific locations), and delete the files and folders within it. Restart Teams and see if the call history is now complete.

It's worth noting that call history in Teams is stored in the cloud, so it should be available across devices. However, there may be certain factors or configurations that can affect the display of call history.

I will need to get with our IT department, unfortunately none of the above suggestions fixed the issue.

I can't even find this setting about Call history in the client. It is simply not there. I for myself can go back in Calls history, way further then the mentioned 30 days here and there. But another users only sees 8 days back. So where is this being set? I've looked everywhere in Teams admin but I can't find anything....
