Teams automatically starts despite the startup menu listing it as disabled

Copper Contributor

I have Windows 11 Pro on this home laptop.  Teams keeps auto launching at startup, and it is terribly annoying.  In the Task Manager, I have clicked startup apps and Teams is listed as "disabled."  Why does it persist in opening at startup when I have disabled it from startup.  This is very annoying and inefficient. How do I correct this?

@BRHSBulldog Did you also disable it in the settings of teams itself? How to stop Microsoft teams from starting up Windows 11 - YouTube

I'm having this same problem in 2024.  I haven't tried Regedit yet, but I'm frustrated that no one has had any success getting Teams to stop auto starting.  It takes a while to close as well.  HOW do I get it to stop starting.  I don't even use this product on a regular basis!

I've disabled it in my startup section, and it's not authorized to start in Teams.  Help!
