Notification preferences not saving
We've just moved to O365 and have created a few teams. However, team channel notifications are not saving for any of our users. For example, if I go to a team's "Channel Notifications" settings and I change "All new Posts" to "Banner and Feed" and click save, the settings don't get saved. I don't get any notifications and if I go back to the settings I've changed, they're set of "Off" and not to what I had saved it as.

We are having the same problem, on the web, desktop, and mobile app.
On the mobile app the choices are "Notify me for: all new messages in this channel, replies to my messages only" Replies to my messages only is checked. Trying to check All new messages in this channel just dismisses the dialog box without changing it.
This only applies to a newly created channel in the team. The new channel name has no spaces in it. When I change the General channel in the same team the save works fine.
- Michael_OttosonCopper ContributorThe problem may be related to adding a connector. I deleted the channel then created a new one (unfortunately I tried to use the same name but it was "taken" even though it was deleted).
This time I changed my notification settings before adding the connector. It saved fine.
Then I added the connector and tried to change my notification settings again. This time it did not save.- Michael_OttosonCopper Contributor
Solved it!
In the desktop app, click the ... in the upper right -> Manage channel. Set the permission for channel notifications to On. Now everything is working.
On the mobile app I also set notifications to "Always, even if active on desktop" I did this only to ensure the notifications made it to the phone while I was testing. I'll probably change this back to "Only when inactive on desktop"

Hello!
Our team is having the same problem.
We are using Mac Os and IOS clients mostly. But the web version has the same issue.

abbasjaffarali it seems that this is due to the space contained in the channel name.
Try to substitute space with "_",in my case it fixed the problem (eg: rename "Test Channel" into "Test_Channel").
Hope this works for you, I guess it's a bug.
Cheers, Giuseppe
- courtneypCopper ContributorThat does seem to be the issue. I reported it to Microsoft. Hope they fix it!
- Odd, sounds like a bug to me. Have you tried via web client vs desktop client to see if it makes any difference?

Yes- have tried multiple computers- desktop and web clients but no luck.
- Sounds like there might be a service provisioning issue. I would put in a support ticket since I don't really know of anywhere that would control this since it's most likely stored in the Azure services that host Teams.
