Limit download in Teams

Hello -

I have a client that wants to use Teams but doesn't want to allow users to download or edit any documents such as word.

Is that possible?

Thank you!

You would need to permission the underlying SharePoint site. Its certainly not recommended. Its going to reduce what you can do with Teams.

Andrew HodgesThanks, I changed the underlying SP permissions to Read Only. I now see a read only icon next to my word document in Teams but they still have the download button, which allows them to make a copy of the document and they can open it in read only but can select to open online or desktop to save it locally.

Any other ideas or maybe what I did incorrect?

      Thanks you!
