Error Creating a Folder in a Channel

Trying to create a folder in the files tab of a channel. Am receiving an error as shown below. I am not the owner. The owner and I have been trying to work out what might be going on. I can create folders in other Teams i am a part of with no issue. Any suggestions?

    Could be permissions. Can you upload a file to the same channel? If that fails too I would add checking the library / folder permissions to the list in addition to Chris's ideas.

    Was the folder name changed in SharePoint? Is it the same as the channel name?

    If you create a new channel in the Team, do the files work there’s successfully?
