Dead time when using *6 on a landline (muting a phone)

Copper Contributor

when in a meeting, because of terrible internet, I use the call me feature on my landline. If I mute using *6 the teams conversation drops for about 5 seconds while the very slow lady says "you are muted, ......press *6 to unmute",  same thing when unmuted.  And I can't find a way to mute from the teams screen when on landline like Webex, Google-meets, Zoom and every other meeting program does. Any suggestions?  Oh, and if you do mute this way, your mute status is not shown on the Teams

@DrJoel Sorry nothing useful, other than to mention Teams is soon to rollout a new codec for voice called Satin that has incredibly low bandwidth requirements and tolerance for latency and packetloss.

Other than that try ordering Starlink :)

@Steven Collier : maybe they could have the very slow lady speak faster, or maybe just say "muted" and "unmuted", after the 100th time they gave you the full instructions on how to mute or unmute?
