Custom sound notification per channel
Hello,
Is there any plan to allow the end user to change the notification on a specific channel?
Ex: Let say you have a security team that manage fire and accidents in your company, when ever there is a incident they use the general channel to post details. It would be nice if we could have the ability to change the notification sound for that particular channel so they know it's coming from that channel and not just a standard message in any other Teams.
Thanks
Hi LeroyJenkins140 ,
The closest I could find on User Voice was: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/41124049-offer-diff-sounds-for-each-notification-type
But might be worth starting your own. If you do, let me know and I will give it a vote as I like your use case.
Notification wise on the Roadmap there is this:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=notification
Thanks
Henry

We also have a need for this functionality. It seems like someone would have developed a Teams app plug-in for this by now as it does not appear to be on Microsoft's development roadmap. If anyone knows of a solutions for this (Microsoft or 3rd party) we would love to hear about it.
- nv_alexCopper ContributorPretty much the same reason everyone gave. There is a lot of noise in Teams. It's hard to know if something needs imediate attention or it can wait. This would help a lot. I would add that changing the color of the notification and/or making it sticky if possible could also help.
