This was a POC done recently. Note this isn’t officially supported but you can follow and reproduce the steps.

No worries.
It could be in the Teams Admin Centre that it’s not set up for custom apps. If you work through this it may help

Hi Chris,
I've got it all to work, so thank you for your magnificent help! It took some time because updating permission policies can take up to one day to be implemented, which is ridiculously long imho. But eventually I got there!
