Hi,

When I invite an external user, (see invite.gif),  they cannot create a Microsoft account.

It tells them that they cannot sign up with a work or school account, (see account.gif)

How then can they possibly get a password to gain access to the Office 365 sub site that they have been invited?

This is the instructions that I gave them in order to create an account..

Well the qub.ac.uk domain is already used in Office 365, thus they simply need to login with their O365 credentials. No need to create Microsoft account. There are detailed instructions here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-sites-or-documents-with-people-outside-your-organizat...

And by the way, Microsoft removed a while ago the ability to create Microsoft accounts when there are existing professional or educational accounts
