Move from Gdrive to OneDrive

Copper Contributor

Hello all,

I currently have a 200GB storage capacity on my Google drive subscription, to sync my folders and files from 3 computers plus 1 cellphone. I wonder if I can get a 2x100GB Microsoft 365 basic subscription to be able to migrate, and sync, my data.

Also I would appreciate your suggestions on a easy way to migrate my data from Gdrive to OneDrive.

Best regards

Hi @PNunes540,

in response to your question about the Microsoft 365 Basic subscription, each subscription comes with 100 GB of cloud storage. So, if you get two subscriptions, your total storage would be 200 GB, aligning with your current Google Drive capacity.

Regarding the migration of your data from Google Drive to OneDrive, here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Visit the Google Takeout page to download all your Google data.
  2. In the "Select data to include" section, click on "Deselect all".
  3. Scroll down, select the Drive option, and click "Next Step".
  4. Choose "Add to OneDrive" as the delivery method.
  5. Click "Link accounts and create export".
  6. Log in to your Microsoft account when prompted.
  7. Provide your Google Password to initiate the transfer.

Please note that the duration of the process depends on the amount of data in your Google Drive. You will receive an email notification once the process is complete.

Hello Leon,
Unfortunately its not possible to have 200GB of OneDrive storage with one account subscription.
I've searched other vendors and all plans I found, except Google, jumps from a few GB (100 tops) to TB, with no offers in the middle, So, GDrive turns to be the best suitable offer for my case.
Best regards
