Hi, This is the context: ChildCompany has O365 and it has an Azure AD in hybrid mode synchronizing to a on-prem AD server. They have an internal domain ChildCompany.com, and an external domain ChildCompany.com where they also receive and send email using O365. ParentCompany is going absorb the ChildCompany some time in next year, and I was asked about the integration options. According to this https://download.microsoft.com/download/b/a/1/ba19dfe7-96e2-4983-8783-4dcff9cebe7b/microsoft-365-tenant-to-tenant-migration.pdf I could do a phased migration, where the end state is that they decomm their onprem AD and that they only use our ParentCompany systems. The business requirement is to start their integration with Email, and then in later phases do the Sharepoint integration as that requires way more analysis on their data sources, as they also have wikis and many other on prem legacy stuff. They are less than 50 users, so I can use Quest migration tools for the email part, but I wonder what needs to happen in what order. This is what I have in mind: Migrate their current O365 into our ParentCompany Office 365 subscription, so that they can continue logging in into their domain joined windows machines using childCompany.co, so they start using ParentCompany.com email addresses, but the problem then is how can they continue using their sharepoint and onedrive resources associated with the Azure and local domain at ChildCompany.com? This is more or less what I have in mind, for the intermediate step, the cutover: Child Company ParentCompany --------------------- ---------------- On-Prem | MS Cloud: | MS Cloud: ---------------|----------------------|-------------- Local AD (ADFS)| Azure Subscription | Azure Sub | Azure AD | Azure AD |--------------------- |--------------------- | O365 Sub -> | O365 Sub | Exchange mailboxes-> | Exchange mailboxes | Sharepoint? -> | ??? | -------------------- |--------------------- I wonder how could it be possible to defer the sharepoint and onedrive migration, so that the child company users can still work on their sharepoint files using their normal auth methods, while disabling childcompany.com as MX so they start using ParentCompany.com mailboxes. Is that even possible? Would make more sense to try to migrate everything at once? That is way more work, but I'm weighting my options.1.3KViews0likes7CommentsPrevent Microsoft 365 meeting invites from automatically appearing in users’ calendars

I’m facing an issue with a Gmail to Microsoft 365 migration that has been open for more than 7 days, and I’m looking for guidance or an escalation path from the community. Scenario: Migration type: Gmail to Microsoft 365 Issue started: April 22 Current status: Stuck with no clear resolution What’s happening: The support ticket has been active since April 22. However, the updates I’ve been receiving are generic responses such as “we are working on it” and “this has been prioritized.” Despite multiple follow-ups, there has been: No clear root cause identified No ETA provided No technical breakdown of the issue I also requested a callback from the assigned manager and technical lead to better understand the situation, but the communication has remained email-only with repeated status updates. What I’m looking for: Has anyone faced similar issues during Gmail → Microsoft 365 migrations? Are there known blockers or common causes that could lead to this kind of delay? What is the recommended escalation path when support is unable to provide technical clarity or ETA? Any insights, workarounds, or guidance would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.145Views1like1CommentNative external sender callouts on email in Outlook
We know that some of our customers leverage Exchange transport rules to prepend subject line or insert the message body to show the email is from external senders. This approach has a few limitations, so we are working on native functionality.390KViews19likes169CommentsReserve Calendar Time for Bookings
How do you block space out on your personal calendar such that it's only available to Microsoft bookings, and shows busy to others in your organization? I've created a personal bookings page with custom timeslots--that's working just fine. The problem is that people in my org who can see my calendar are sending calendar invites for those same timeslots, making them no longer available to the bookings page. If I add my own events to my personal calendar to mark time as busy, those slots also disappear from the bookings page. How can I adjust things such as to reserve time exclusively for Microsoft bookings and no other users at my org?36Views0likes1CommentDisabling Calendar Repair Assistant on mailboxes in Exchange Onprem 2019
Hi, We are in Exchange Hybrid setup were some mailboxes are in cloud and onprem. Recently, there were some issues with Calendar events were recipients weren't notified of any updates for the events, sometimes the updated event would have been cancelled by recipient and the recipient didn't even know that they received update and it was automatically cancelled by them.... This was a normal situation for EAs for their executive calendar events When raised a ticket with Microsoft on this issue, Microsoft collected CDL logs and found that CRA was kicking in each time when there was an update and was reverting the updated meeting request to the previous cancellation and as we know this is not a bug, this is just how the CRA works...So, Microsoft is like CRA is a legacy feature with limited applicability and functionality in the current exchange environment and hence has asked to disable-CRA in On-prem exchange as this will not affect normal calendar usage for users. I had disabled for 5 users and they have reverted that they are not seeing any issues post disabling CRA. so before gunning down on all mailboxes I wanted to take a second opinion on whether is it safe to disable CRA for alll mailboxes in Exchange OnpremSolved114Views0likes2Comments
