Convert dates stored as text to dates
Follow these steps:
Select a blank cell and verify that its number format is General.
In the blank cell:
Enter =DATEVALUE(
Click the cell that contains the text-formatted date that you want to convert.
Enter )
Thank you for your understanding and patience

Go to the desired cell or mark the desired area,
Right mousekey,
Format cells ...
Category: Custom select,
Type: DD.MMMM YYYY for December 21, 2021
or DD / MM / YY for 21/12/21.
OK...you are ready 🙂
Hope I was able to help you with this info.

- a7024782Brass ContributorThanks. It is not the solution I am looking for. That case works when the cell has a number as the date and you just have to change the format. In my case, the date is a text string and not a number.
