Edge Workspace Error: Unable to Load
Hello Everyone 🙂 Am having an issue with Workspace on Edge running onVersion 115.0.1901.203 (Official build) (64-bit). I recently moved all tabs I had in one profile to a new profile and created different workspaces, during this process I moved a lot of tabs and there was a message that there was an issue in Sync and tabs might not be synced. I tried to log out of the browser profile and log in again and faced two issues after this: - The workspaces I created got duplicated, so before logging out I had three workspaces and after logging back to the browser profile I have 6 workspaces - All workspaces show the error when accessing them: "Error enable to load" The browser profile am using is a 365 Business account and is the admin. I tried to go over the prerequisitesbut honestly couldn't understand what I need to do. Any help is highly appreciated because the tabs I moved to workspaces are quite important for me toaccess. Hi everybody I do not know if this hub is the proper place to report this problem, but I have been last hour “binging” where to and I think this one is the closest to my problem. I am a web developer for my organization. Most of my organization’s computers are behind a proxy that does not allow then to go to internet, only to intranet. I am developing a web application that needs to download an Excel xls template and every time I download this xls template, Edge tries to open it online instead of saving it locally. This is really a problem as computers cannot go internet (due to proxy) and eventually Edge is not allowed to load on-line Excel and the process fails. Is there some way to prevent Edge from opening office files from html o Javascript? As web developer I cannot push any policy to my organization's computers and I need to force Edge to download this file. I really wouldn't like to to insert a “Don’t use Edge in this site. Use Chrome instead” banner in my web app. Thank you. RegardspererexxlNov 30, 2024Copper Contributor1.6KViews0likes3CommentsEdge Branding - Company Color Configuration
I'm looking to configure organisational branding in Edge 130+. We already have a custom branding profile configured in EntraID. To date we have configured Edge using group policy. When we configure the policy OrganizationalBrandingOnWorkProfileUIEnabled we get our EntraID tenant/organisation name displayed on the profile pill and company logo as expected but we do not get the company color but rather a black color as follows: Where is the company color configured i.e. what aspect of Entra Branding does it correspond to?shockotechcomNov 27, 2024Iron Contributor109Views0likes4CommentsUnable to Copy from Service Now Tickets
It seems to work fine in Chrome. Since Version 131 of Edge, last Thursday, our users cannot copy text from SN. Please advise.SolvedrgrisiNov 21, 2024Brass Contributor2.1KViews2likes8CommentsSet a hard limit on disk used by Edge for cache
I'm trying to find how to limit the amount of disk space used by Edge for it's cache/temp files, we have it set to a couple of hundred Mb, but I've seen it exceeds this to well over a Gb. The group policy documentation here:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/DeployEdge/microsoft-edge-policies#diskcachesizesays that '...The value specified in this policy isn't a hard boundary but rather a suggestion to the caching system...' .. which is not very helpful/useful. Does anybody have experience of solving this one?DeltaWaspNov 19, 2024Brass Contributor25KViews3likes8CommentsMicrosoft Edge extension on IOS

I'm trying to configure Edge branding using the Edge Management Service. From the guide here Organization branding | Microsoft Learn it states: Are there any scenarios where organization branding can't be used? Yes, organization branding isn't supported for the following scenarios. Organization branding isn't applied if: OneDrive desktop sync is enabled. The OneDrive policy to exclude specific kinds of files from being uploaded is disabled. We have OneDrive client app installed on all our desktops. It's not clear to me why this would make this feature not supported. Any ideas/information on this?shockotechcomNov 15, 2024Iron Contributor27Views0likes1CommentHow to disable notifications - 'Microsoft Edge will restart in XX hours'
This is driving me nuts. Every couple or few days I get a popup that won't go away unless I click on it. It says: "MICROSOFT EDGE WILL RESTART IN XX HOURS" "To apply updates required by your organization, restart Microsoft Edge" I shut down my computer every single night. These notifications are not necessary. I can understand if Edge has been open for longer than one day, but that is not happening. MAKE THESE DARN NOTIFICATIONS GO AWAY, PLEASE. 🙂PerplextedEdge1940Nov 07, 2024Copper Contributor4.8KViews1like3CommentsEdge prompts users that it is out of date when a target version is set in Intune
Hello, We are using the target channel override and target version policies in Intune to control when our users receive Edge updates. Our target version is currently 128.0.2739.42. Despite this, Edge is showing an update notification to our users. When they click on it in the menu, they get a message that says "Microsoft Edge couldn't update to the latest version, so you're missing out on new features and security fixes." I looked through the log for Microsoft Edge Update, and at no point did it try to download and install a new Edge version. The only update it performed was for WebView2. I found this thread: Edge UpdatePolicy - Disable automatic updates leads to "Microsoft Edge is out of Date" - Microsoft Community Hub However, this registry value is set to INBX (Inbox, I guess?) in our environment. I couldn't find any documentation about what this means. I tried changing this to GCEU as described in the thread, but this did not change the behavior long term. The message initially goes away after a restart, but comes back some time later. We are intentionally controlling our update rollouts and do not want our users knowing or caring Edge is out of date. Does anyone know how to suppress these warnings? This kind of seems like a bug. Thanks! AndrewAndrewSAIFOct 30, 2024Iron Contributor492Views0likes3Comments
