As the title says, with Insiders 16237, files in a host mapped volume aren't recognised - e.g.

type filename.txt

doesn't work.

Specifying the full path however does work:

type C:\MappedVolume\filename.txt

Is this a known issue? Is this an appropriate forum

This should be working - can you share the full docker commandline and full console output of the error in the container?

Thanks!

I noticed it is not possible to do an in-place upgrade from Windows Server 2016 Core to Windows Server Insider Preview 16257 Core.  Will this change in a future preview or for the final release?

Hello,

With dedup now being supported on ReFS (as of 16257), there is only one other major issue preventing widespread ReFS adoption.  FSRM quotas and file screens are still not supported.  Is it in the roadmap?

Can an in place upgrade from Preview Build 16237 to 16257 be done? We checked for updates on 16237 but none were found so we were forced to install 16257 as a new install and then we deleted 16237. Thank you.

Thanks for your question. Build-to-Build upgrades from 16237 to 16257 are not recommended. We recommend a clean install.

Wow, so you can't even re-use containers between preview builds!?

Completely agree.
