WSUS missing selfupdate files
Was it by design that the selfupdate CAB files wuident.cab and iuident.cab were removed from Server Insider Preview?
Grabbed the files from a 2022 RTM VM to make the server work.

After more than 1 year, I can confirm they are still removed on Server 2025 stable. As well I also copied them from a Server 2022 machine.
It would seem as if it's by design, to deprecate support for versions of Windows older than 10.
By the way, if you're running Insider Preview you have to do this every build because the installation process resets the folder with the contents from the installation media.
