Allow for the expansion of physical disks in a storage pool just like lvm on Linux. This would be useful in virtual environments and in Azure to be able to expand the physical representation of the virtual disk file. Be it a vmdk or vhdx. This currently allowable on other modern logical volume managers out there. This should be trivial to modify since the meta data is already there. It could be added to the powershell commandlets to rescan-physicaldisk, which would rebuild the metadata on the pool. I have a feedback hub suggestion open on it, which if you could please upvote: https://aka.ms/AAy4ihw29Views0likes0CommentsAAD join Server 2025
Hi, Wondering if Server 2025 can be AAD joined. this would help some businesses that have their laptops joined as well as would also like to have the option to join their Server for their line of business apps etc. Seems really strange you can have win11 AAD joined but not server 2025. Or am i just missing something here. Having to use Azure Arc comes with extra headaches and costs.Solved9.8KViews2likes15CommentsIn-place upgrade possibility planned for Windows Server 2025 Datacenter Azure Edition ?
There is currently no official ISO for Windows Server Datacenter: Azure Edition that supports setup.exe /auto upgrade for in-place upgrades. Azure Update Manager does not support OS version upgrades for Azure Edition through optional features. Is anyone aware of a supported workaround?416Views3likes4CommentsAdd native postfix to Windows Server

Dear Microsoft Team, I would like to request looking into these issues: 1. Get-Netadapter ifIndex is different in sconfig. Sconfig ifindex do not match an are apparently wrong. this is reproducible. Currently the only way to identify is the InferfaceDescription in sconfig, because ifalias / ifname are missing. I made a FR for these aswell as for VLAN config in previous threads. No reponse on these yet 2. if an adapter has DHCP disabled and a static IP address, sconfig can no longer be used to change the IP adress. There is no option to remove IPAdress and Gateway either. error :-Failed to release DHCP lease, Result Code 83 Please to look into these and my FRs for sconfig. I understand that the point of Artem is that sconfig is not a management rather first settings tool, Yet these basics have to work anyway as inexperienced people would be lost. It is not easy to remediate such state with PowerShell. Especially on Azure Stack HCI and Windows Server Core.2.1KViews2likes2Comments[server 25314] External SET Team to Internal after Reboot.
I have created SET Teaming on Windows Server 25314 (actually from a previous build) using External and 3 Intel i350-T4 ports, configured for Hyper-V and external access. New-VMSwitch -Name SETSwitch -NetAdapterName "i350t4_1","i350t4_2","i350t4_3" -AllowManagementOS $true -EnableEmbeddedTeaming $true -EnableIov $true Set-VMSwitchTeam -Name SETSwitch -LoadBalancingAlgorithm Dynamic In that case, the Hyper-V VM and OS can be accessed normally, but when I restart Windows Server, all Adapters disappear from SET Teaming and are changed to the Internal setting, and network access is lost. The above logs were obtained at WPR with Profile in Network. Since the file is large, I will post a link to OneDrive. setTeamingTrouble.etl https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoGvAA_XXMTH-dJ2gkOa6E5hP4QhLg?e=7hPgLQ In addition, if the EnableIov option is set to $false, a BSOD (KMODE_EXCEPTION_HANDLED) will occur after the Switch is created. I tried to send it through the Feedback Hub and could not get it to work, so I have included it here. Addition 3: Server 25324 LBFO Teaming with New-VMSwitch failed.2.3KViews2likes7Comments
