- David_SwensonIron ContributorWe've setup an insider program with our MSP Community and many of them running Windows 11 already. We are able to monitor usage and security statistics directly from Microsoft 365 Lighthouse. What we've learned: Windows 11 is much quicker to report and digest policy from Intune! Love what we are seeing!
- David_SwensonIron ContributorThank you Aria! Windows Insider for Business has enabled my Team to build an MSP community of Windows Champions ready to roll Windows 11 out asap with Intune.

That's great feedback, David_Swenson! Thanks for sharing your experience!
- David_SwensonIron ContributorCan we get more manual ways to download and install firmware updates for ARM64 devices like Surface Pro X (which many of our C-Level customers have opted for during the pandemic)? Currently the only way to get firmware packages for ARM devices are via Windows Update and the deployment time can be scattered. We would like to push an installer package via Endpoint Manager just like our Intel/AMD devices.

Can you please provide a bit more information on what you mean by 'deployment time can be scattered'. Also, are you asking about how to deploy those ARM firmware updates without using Windows Update and related policies. For general information about what we are thinking about for managing drivers, you can see this blog here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/introducing-a-new-deployment-service-for-driver-and-firmware/ba-p/2176942 -DG- David_SwensonIron ContributorAbsolutely, We have deployed ARM devices to several end-users and notice the firmware takes several weeks to hit each device via Windows Update. If we had the ability to download and deploy these packages manually (like with Intel/AMD) we could prevent device instability issues coming up.
- sreedhpoCopper ContributorDo we get an option to make the microsoft store as browse only store? The reason is to restrict the users to install the application.
- Joe_Lurie
Microsoft
In a commercial environment, you can turn off the store altogether using either Group Policy or CSP, and then use your management solution to push apps to the end-user devices. We have not developed any method to make the Store catalog as read-only. Its good feedback. Can you enter that feedback in either feedback hub or clicking Help-> Send Feedback directly in the Store app?- sreedhpoCopper Contributorentered my feedback into Feedback Hub.. Thanks Joe.
- David_SwensonIron ContributorThe Windows Update Endpoint Manager Controls: Should we expect the UI there to be updated and if so when should we expect to see changes there?
- David_Guyer
Microsoft
Hi David, Endpoint Manager will be making the appropriate changes to enable management of Windows 11. In most cases, you'll be able to use the same policies and settings to manage both Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices. Where there needs to be differences, they'll be handled as needed. I don't think we've announced exactly when they will be available. -David
- bdsamsCopper ContributorWill there be Windows 11 LTSC?
- Joe_Lurie

I answered that question here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-events/ama-windows-11-and-windows-10-servicing-amp-lifecycle/ev-p/2557212
- Christian ZenzanoBrass ContributorMicrosoft has mentioned that major change will take place in H1 with minor changes in H2. My understanding is that new features are included in monthly quality updates for all new versions in an inactive and dormant state. i also understand how features remain dormant state until they are turned on through the "enablement package". However in the past year i noticed that 20H1 had minor changes with Major changes coming this fall with Windows 11. Will this be true also with Windows 10? Will major changes now be expected in H2 versions moving forward ?
- Christian ZenzanoBrass ContributorIs it my understanding that enablement packages are not used in Windows 11 and uses a different technology to update LCU.
- Joe_Lurie
Microsoft
Windows 11 will have an annual update cadence, expected in the H2 timeframe. Unlike Windows 10, you should not expect an H1 release. Each H2 release of Windows 11 comes with a 36-month lifecycle for Enterprise and EDU editions, and a 24 month lifecycle for Home and Pro editions.
- Dennis_EwaldBrass ContributorI noticed when I set WUfB via Intune and also specify that drivers should also be counted, I noticed that often the optional updates (mostly consisting of drivers) that these are not automatically installed. Is there a reason for this or is there a setting option that you can enforce this?
- Andy1Q7Copper Contributorbtw. there is a tool you can use called pswindowsupdate that pulls everything from online update that is applicable. You can install it directly in powershell: install-module pswindowsupdate and then run it with get-windowsupdate
- David_Guyer
Microsoft
Hi, Today WUfB supports an "all or nothing" setting for drivers. We are working on a much better solution where you can manage approving or suspending drivers. See this blog for our announcement and mockup walkthrough here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/introducing-a-new-deployment-service-for-driver-and-firmware/ba-p/2176942 Stay tuned for when this is will be available as a public preview in Intune. -DG
- David_SwensonIron ContributorWindows 11 Update question: When will we start to see Windows 11 reliability builds in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Health > Windows Release Health?
- The health release dashboard normally reports on public releases not the insider/beta releases. I wouldn't expect it up there until it moves to general release.
- Dennis_EwaldBrass ContributorHow does Windows 11 handle the LTSC version, can we expect any change regarding in this regard ? Does it also follow the new support lifeclye of 5 years ?
- Joe_Lurie
Microsoft
We announced the next Windows LTSC would be built on Windows 10, version 21H2, and yes it will be a 5 year support lifecycle. We can expect that the next LTSC *after* Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 will be built on Windows 11. And it will also keep the 5 year support. However, that's expected in 3 years or so, so anything can happen in that timeframe. If you need to use LTSC for a longer period, we recommend moving to Windows 10 IoT LTSC.
- David_SwensonIron ContributorMicrosoft Store Question: Will we be able to deploy Windows and Android apps via Endpoint Manager/Store for Business?
- KevinMineweaser_MSFT
Microsoft
Hi Dave, We will have more information to share at a later date. In the meantime, we did make an announcement today on the Windows Store for Business evolution https://aka.ms/windows/msfb_evolution Thanks, -Kevin
