Can we get more manual ways to download and install firmware updates for ARM64 devices like Surface Pro X (which many of our C-Level customers have opted for during the pandemic)? Currently the only way to get firmware packages for ARM devices are via Windows Update and the deployment time can be scattered. We would like to push an installer package via Endpoint Manager just like our Intel/AMD devices.

Also, are you asking about how to deploy those ARM firmware updates without using Windows Update and related policies. If we had the ability to download and deploy these packages manually (like with Intel/AMD) we could prevent device instability issues coming up.

One of the big things that can delay deployment is the end user restart, and the deadline settings have been very useful in ensuring a timely update restart while giving end users control over when the restart occurs to avoid a productivity impact.
