- RichP1930Brass ContributorDoes this work on MMD devices as well? for admin rights?
- Matt_Call
Microsoft
Microsoft Managed Devices have a rich set of capabilities included with the MMD service - Please reach out to your MMD contact to make sure you're using the right solution for your organization.
- Kazetenshu2Copper ContributorWhat about an included system shell? We have had cases were someone removes a device from the domain and the local admin is busted. A remote tool with a system shell allows us to fix this quickly like Dameware remote anywhere.

If we could just license admins for remote help we could probably accept the extra cost. No way we can license EVERY user just to help a small percentage who need help. After all, frontline workers are always licensed at lower levels, e.g., F3.

Same here. It is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to expensive for our needs. It should be so that the helper needs a license instead of the one being helped.... Or the one being helped has a way cheaper license to opt-in.
- CMedley67Brass ContributorWe're at that same decision point. Really wanting to get rid of our existing solution and go with Remote Help. But to require an add-on license for every user, that's a bit much. Remote sessions are not a constant need per user for an average IT shop, so a pee user add-on license (of any cost) is prohibitive.
- Eric_Davignon1Brass Contributori agree i thought it was a free new way to support our end user
- Eric_Davignon1Brass ContributorAny cost for Remote help?
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeYes, the price that was announced in April was $3.50 USD per user per month.

- Eric_Davignon1Brass ContributorRemote Help is it the same has quick assist?
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeNo, see my answer below on the differences.
- Dave Randall
Microsoft
No, Remote Help is specifically designed for enterprise use. More details here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/remote-actions/remote-help
- Matt_EngogliaCopper ContributorIs there any plans for file transfer using remote help?
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeGreat feedback! This is an item we've heard from other customers. We are taking the feedback into consideration.

Microsoft
Lance just talked about this as a roadmap item.
- Nicol HanekomBrass ContributorWill EPM and Remote Support be included with M365 E3 or F1?
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeThey will not.
- noliverdlrBrass ContributorI agree with many here that Microsoft should just include this with the Intune licensing. Every feature here is useful to all tenants and was asked for on the user voice site for years.
- Mark_S_PowellCopper ContributorDoes EPM and Remote Help work together so my help desk has the controlled JIT elevation of EPM when in a Remote Help session? Or do they still need a privileged account in local admin?
- Matt_Call
Microsoft
At launch, you'll be able to execute the 'Support Approved' workflow of EPM while helping an end user with Remote help. While these two will not be directly integrated at first, we are excited to build in integrations in the future that make approvals easy to complete when a remote help session is already in flight. Thanks for the interest and stay tuned.
- SB_002Occasional ReaderDoes the Remote Support require 3rd party remote application like TeamViewer or other licensing or is it strictly Microsoft Remote control tool? what is the cost?
- Joe_Lurie
Microsoft
The Remote help solution that Lance is talking about does not require TeamViewer, it's native in Intune. You can purchase Remote help licenses, or sign-up for a Trial, in the Tenant Administration > Premium Add-ons in the Intune admin center.
