- MervWhiteBrass ContributorDoesn't Endpoint Privilege Management require a MS 365 A5 subscription?
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeePricing and packaging for EDU are still being finalized.
- ESJeffLBrass Contributorwhy charge for remote help, and the cost is higher than other app that have been doing this for years? MS should give it away which will improve adoption and functionality
- Mike ShellenbergerCopper ContributorSome customers may not need these additional capabilities, though. In my mind, they've made these enhancements available as an add-on for customer choice as well as avoid some partner conflict (think Teamviewer integrations). I'm glad to see some of the roadmap enhancements for remote help as the first iteration didn't meet the value prop at the current pricing.
- Arthur_ReedCopper ContributorCompletely agree. This feels like nickel and diming us.
- ErinDayBrass Contributorthis should all really be included in the core product. not an addon.
- CarywellsCopper ContributorWhats the difference between remote help and quick connect
- bdam55Iron Contributor$3.50 per user per month <ducks>
- HeyHey16KIron ContributorHaha 🙂
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeI think you mean Quick Assist. Quick Assist is meant to be a simple consumer offering. Remote Help is an enterprise offering with a lot more value like tight integration with M365, RBAC, session reporting, strong trust built on AAD and conditional access, compliance warnings, and so much more. We have a lot of great features coming including Android support which we will demo today! All the awesome new value will be in Remote Help.

Microsoft
There is a good list of Remote Help capabilities here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/remote-actions/remote-help
- JornMichCopper ContributorIs there any idea about when these new advanced management options become available as public preview?
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeIt will be depend on the feature. We will share as they become available, but for example, Tunnel for mobile application management for Android will be available for public preview in November.
- ROM_1Brass Contributorremote assistance through Intune is usefull but a bit expensive.
- noliverdlrBrass ContributorI agree my company went with another product due to cost and functionality.
- ROM_1Brass Contributor
Which product did you choose?
Remote help was very cool and useful while in preview mode and still free.
but once it became in production the cost is, in my opinion, a bit too high.
- JFSanchez987Copper ContributorSpecifically as it pertains to Endpoint Privilege Management, will it be possible to allow users the ability to elevate and modify windows settings the same way they'll be able to launch programs with elevated permissions?
- Matt_Call
Microsoft
Elevations are triggered by the binaries that complete the changes, so it'll be possible for some settings options and a bit harder for others. In the future, we are looking at having a pre-defined 'template' like experience to make it easy to allow the tasks that your enterprise needs. Thanks for the feedback!

- jaymichaudBrass ContributorAre these new features going to be included in education SKUs—M365 A3 or A5 subscriptions?
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeePackaging for Edu is still being finalized. Stay tuned!
- bdam55Iron ContributorJust gonna get this one out of the way quickly: When will pricing be available? Really hard to evaluate TCO without having the C.
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeTotally understand. We will have pricing for the suite available closer to availability early next year.
- Lance_CrandallFormer EmployeeWe are still having discussions around packaging for Edu. Stay tuned!
- bdam55Iron ContributorThink you had an off-by-one error there Lance and meant to respond to the question above by Jay Michaud.
