How do you manage the Security when a user has a Copilot for Microsoft 365 licence and they also use Copilot Pro? Is there any risk of accessing Corporate data when using the same Windows device? If so, how can we prevent this? Offering the Copilot Pro to anyone seems a big risk

How is Microsoft addressing the European Data Protection Supervisor’s order on the use of Microsoft 365 by the European Commission? What changes or improvements have been made in response to this in particular regarding Copilot?
- LizEMacCopper ContributorIs there a way to turn off ALL copilot (previews, trials, etc) at the tenant level?

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is enabled or disabled using license assignment, which can be configured at user or group level. There are additional controls you can use to limit Copilot and other generative AI experiences using Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and view usage with the AI Hub in Microsoft Purview. You can find the details for these in a recent Microsoft Mechanics video here: https://youtu.be/dYzTyEcjHc0

Microsoft Copilot for M365 inherits sensitivity labels of the content. It also respects permissions you have in place - so it will not provide access to content that the user doesn't already have access to. We have multiple resources for using Copilot securely that I will link below. All prompts and responses with Copilot are logged in an audit log. For compliance concerns, please take a look at Purview and AI Hub. Resources:

Hi Saurabh,
There are some great governance articles from the Microsoft Insider Track (Microsoft Digital) organization, which is the IT division of Microsoft, explaining how they implemented governance for Microsoft corporate.

- Forrest_HIron Contributor
Not a Live Stream event. Just watch all the replies to the posts and try to follow. Eventually they post a consolidated update
AND it is not in any one page or summary so you still have to keep scrolling back and forth.
- crowzoneOccasional Readerok, thanks, i see that in the notes now.
- Michael WigleCopper ContributorYeah, I'm reading more closely now and realize this is a "Chat Based" event... Didn't realize that.
- Sarah_GilbertSilver ContributorWelcome to the Microsoft 365 Copilot Ask Microsoft Anything (AMA)! This live hour gives you the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Microsoft team. Please post any questions in a separate, new comment thread on this event.
- SamBarroCopper ContributorI've been getting notices from my news and journalistic sources that AI is stealing the information they must hire people to accumulate. I understand their complaint, because I use Copilot a lot and it seems to find information everywhere. If a journalistic site doesn't have a paywall, will Copilot extract information from that site? If so, the site can be cheated because, although there isn't a paywall, there are other ways for the site to gain income from your visit, such as ads. In the case where the journalistic site does have a paywall, is Copilot capable of extracting info from the site? This would be an egregious violation of journalistic rights and AI creators should not do that. What do other people think about this issue?
