I've been getting notices from my news and journalistic sources that AI is stealing the information they must hire people to accumulate.
I understand their complaint, because I use Copilot a lot and it seems to find information everywhere. If a journalistic site doesn't have a paywall, will Copilot extract information from that site? If so, the site can be cheated because, although there isn't a paywall, there are other ways for the site to gain income from your visit, such as ads.
In the case where the journalistic site does have a paywall, is Copilot capable of extracting info from the site? This would be an egregious violation of journalistic rights and AI creators should not do that.
