Windows 11 File Explorer search is junk

I'm sure I am not the only person that thinks that windows 11 file explorer is junk.  It cannot find anything and it takes forever if it does find something.  There should be options to really drill down to find what you are looking for as preset options like
date range - ability to enter a date range

file type should be an option instead of "Kind" - ability to choose the file extension / type; xls, xlsx, xlsm, doc, docx, pdf

these simple search features are non-existent  

Search option should include:
File Name
File Type

To search for something is very frustrating and slow!!!!

Please fix it.
