Windows 11 24H2 - Copilot Removal
Hi, I asked to answer this question to Copilot. I returned followings.
Here are the detailed steps to remove Microsoft Copilot through Intune:
Sign in to the Microsoft Intune Admin portal.
Navigate to Intune Admin Center.
Use your administrator credentials to sign in.
Create a Configuration Profile:
Go to Devices > Configuration profiles > Create profile.
For Platform, choose Windows 10 and later.
For Profile type, select Custom.
Set Up Your Profile:
Enter a Name and Description for the profile, such as "Disable Windows Copilot".
Click Next to continue.
Add OMA-URI Settings:
In the Configuration settings pane, select Add.
Fill in the details as follows:
Name: Disable Windows Copilot
Description: Disables the Windows Copilot feature
OMA-URI: ./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/WindowsCopilot/DisableCopilot
Data type: Integer
Value: 1 (to disable Copilot)
Assign the Profile:
Choose the user or device groups you want to apply the policy to.
Click Next to assign the profile.
Review and Create:
Review your configuration settings.
Click Create to finalize the profile.
Sync the Policy on Target Devices:
Go to the Devices blade, and select the devices to which you have assigned the profile.
Click on Sync to push the policy manually if necessary.
Verify Policy Application:
After synchronization, check the device settings and registry values to confirm that the Windows Copilot option is disabled.
This should remove Copilot from the devices enrolled in Intune effectively. If you encounter any issues during these steps, feel free to reach out.
