Whatsapp App displays Notification Even After It was Closed!
- May 08, 2024
Try this...
Settings>Apps>Installed apps>"scroll down to whatsapp">"click on 3 dots">Advanced options>Back ground apps permissions> "take your pick from always, optimised, and never. Probably 'never' in your case">Runs at log in>"you can toggle this on/off if you do/don't want it to automatically kick off at start"
Hope this helps

There is only one way to disable WhatsApp from being automatically logged on boot which is via regedit. (WORKED FOR ME)
Go To: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
(If the 'Explorer' folder doesn't exist under Policies, just create one)
Right click on 'Explorer' and New > Key, name it "DisallowRun".
Then right click on "DisallowRun" and New > String Value, name it 1
Then double click the string (1) and set value data: WhatsApp.exe and hit ok.
Just restart your desktop/pc and whatsapp will no longer startup automatically unless you launch it manually. You can simply restrict the popup notifications of Whatsapp from its settings.
