Reinstalling the Microsoft Gaming Overlay
Hi! Some time ago, I uninstalled the Microsoft Gaming Overlay - I think it was the overlay used by the Xbox Game Bar (win+G to bring it up). I am trying to reinstall it, but I can't figure it out...
Yes. The component you're looking for is Xbox Game Bar / Xbox Gaming Overlay. Try opening PowerShell as Administrator and running:
winget install --id=Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay -e
Then restart the PC. You can also reinstall it through the Microsoft Store by searching for Xbox Game Bar. If you are getting an ms-gamingoverlay error, reinstalling Game Bar should normally restore that protocol and stop the popup.
