Look for a simple way to convert pdf to image (png/jpg/gif) on Windows PC?
I have a bank statement in PDF format. However, the gov asks me upload a jpg/png/gif copy as well. I don't know how to convert the pdf to image format in a proper way, especially how to guarantee the quality of converted images. My application could be denied if the image were blurred or not qualified.
Please suggest me a good way to convert pdf to image on a Windows 11 PC? JPG, PNG and GIF are fine for acceptance.
Regards,
Endora
Scroll download the PDF file and take screenshot on it. It will saved as JPG or PNG image. If there are two many pages to be converted, then use a dedicated PDF to Image converter instead. Here is a simple step-by-step tutorial for converting PDF to JPG/PNG/GIF/TIFF: https://www.mobiledic.com/convert-pdf-file-to-images
P.S. The converted images are in high quality and the formattings are well kept!

Hi Endora,
On Windows 11, you have several reliable ways to convert a PDF to an image (JPG/PNG/GIF) without losing quality:
- Using built-in tools
- Open the PDF in Microsoft Edge or Adobe Reader.
- Zoom to 100% or higher, then use the Snipping Tool to capture each page as an image.
2. Using dedicated PDF-to-image software
- Tools like Adobe Acrobat can export PDFs directly to JPG/PNG at high resolution.
- You can also use lightweight tools such as HitPaw FotorPea, which can convert PDFs to images while keeping text and numbers sharp.
3. Online converters
- Websites like PDF2PNG can also do the job.
- Make sure to check the output resolution before uploading.
Quality tips:
- Choose high-resolution output (at least 300 DPI).
- Avoid compressing the image too much.
- Preview the exported image to ensure all text is legible.
- This approach should help your bank statement remain clear and acceptable for submission.

Windows 11 has a built-in feature called Windows Print Screen that allows you to convert PDF to image on Windows PC. Here's how:
- Open the PDF file in your default PDF viewer.
- Press the Ctrl + P keys to open the Print dialog box.
- Select the Save as type dropdown menu and choose PDF or XPS.
- Click on the Options button and select the Print to file option.
- Choose the desired image format (JPG, PNG, or GIF) and set the resolution to your liking.
- Click Save to save the converted image.

I like your process, but I'm having trouble with the 4th step as I don't know where the "Options Button" is that you speak of. Got any ideas? Email is mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons. Thanks!

In Explorer it says the PDF I wish to convert is a "Microsoft Edge PDF Document, as I use Edge as my default PDF viewer.
When I follow the steps above, I don't see an Option Button that offers to "print to file." Can you help me figure that out?- gpiasseCopper Contributor
Option does not show for me either in Edge or Chrome on Surface Pro running Windows 11.
Ideally, I maintain file size and image quality by exporting, but snipping tool or print screen can workaround in a pinch.
- PelosimissCopper ContributorI've used SmallPDF and PDF-XChange Viewer in my previous work, and they're both excellent tools. SmallPDF is more user-friendly, while PDF-XChange Viewer offers more advanced features. If you're looking for a simple solution to convert PDF to IMAGE on Windows PC, I'd recommend using SmallPDF.
- RamyavanCopper ContributorPlease don't use online PDF to Image converters as the information is highly important and private. You will get tons of such recommendations from Google. Just be reminded!
