Look for a simple way to convert pdf to image (png/jpg/gif) on Windows PC?
Scroll download the PDF file and take screenshot on it. It will saved as JPG or PNG image. If there are two many pages to be converted, then use a dedicated PDF to Image converter instead. For a government submission, I would not use screenshots unless it is a one-page emergency. A screenshot depends on the zoom level and screen resolution, and it is too easy to end up with an image that looks readable on screen but is not clear enough after upload.
A better approach is to export the PDF pages directly as image files. PDFgear can convert PDF pages to PNG or JPG on Windows. Open the converter, choose PDF to PNG or PDF to JPG, select the page range, set an output folder, and convert. Each PDF page is saved as a separate image, which is usually what upload portals expect.
For a bank statement or document containing small text, I would choose PNG first. It generally keeps text and fine lines sharper than JPG. JPG is useful when the resulting PNG files are too large for the upload limit.
After converting, open the image at full size and verify three things before submitting it:
The entire page is visible, including headers and footers.
Account numbers, dates, and small text are still readable.
The file meets the government site’s image-format and size requirements.
That is much more reliable than using Print Screen or the Snipping Tool.
