Lack of taskbar minimize/restore all in Windows 11
Hi. During user acceptance testing we have discovered that functionality allowing multiple windows from a specific application to be minimized and then restored as group is no longer available in Windows 11. In Windows 10 we can hover over the application group in the task bar, then shift + righ-click and choose Minimize all windows or Restore all windows. This functionality is no longer present in Windows 11. The ability to minimize and restore in Windows 11 via Win+D or Win+M is not the same, as it applies to all displayed windows, rather than those from a specific application group. The removed functionality is a common issue that has been brought up by multiple others. I have searched for solutions that involve both Microsoft products and 3rd party software and could not find anything that provides the exact same functionality. Other options suggested involved using virtual desktops. However, using those presents an additional usability hassle and also an application group cannot be permanently assigned to a specific virtual desktop at startup. Can someone suggest a solution (other than PowerToys, Win aero, Explorer Patcher, etc.) to this problem, or suggest an alternative workflow that would be the least disruptive to the existing users? Thank you.
