The final screenshot says the file could not be decrypted, so this needs an encryption check before changing permissions. The copy on the Crucial drive may still be EFS-encrypted; selling the WD drive does not automatically remove encryption from another copy.
Keep the encrypted files intact. On one affected file, check Properties > Advanced for “Encrypt contents to secure data.” You can also run cipher /c followed by that file’s quoted full path to inspect its encryption information without changing it.
Look for the original Windows account or computer that encrypted these files, an exported EFS certificate with its private key, or a designated recovery agent if this was a managed device. If the original account can still open them, use it to make a decrypted backup. Taking ownership or granting administrator permissions cannot replace the decryption key. Without a usable key or unencrypted backup, recovery cannot be promised.
