Is there any error message when booting from the USB?
Thx for your response. There were no error messages. As you see below I have finally resolved the issue. It was due to a faulty data hard drive in the system which affecting the SATA bus. (Quite a weird problem).
When I removed that drive it booted from the USB drive created on Media Creator.
Basically I stripped all hardware out of the system and added items back in one by one to isolate the problem.
