Wiki Site and Webpartsite not working
Hi,
I ran into another problem: Wiki and Webpart Sites are not working.
Wiki Site:
When I want to create a Wiki Site, I get an error after I hit "Create". It says that an unexpected error occurred and gives me a link to the SharePoint Foundation. When I click that link, nothing happens.
Webpart Site:
I can create webpart sites, but when I click the links in the individual boxes to add a webpart, nothing happens. No popup, no error message, nothing.
So at the moment we are stuck to Website Sites :-(. Anything I can do about this?
Regards
Cord

Hi Chris,
thanks for your reply. The problem disappeared by itself. We changed nothing... so that was a pleasant surprise. It's now working as expected.

Hello,
Here are a few things to check.
1. Do you have proper permissions to do these things?
2. Wiki pages or Web Part Pages can reside in a Wiki Library App sometimes called "Site Pages" by default. (the app with the folder with the file that has a flower on it)
3. Some SharePoint sites have different "default" home pages. From what I know is that there is the old ".default.aspx" page that is a historic web part page that is behind many sites that is just a part of older versions of SharePoint.4. When you choose to "create" a page from the settings menu it will try to find the default wiki library to add the new page to.
5. You can always change the default home page by using this button in the page ribbon.
let us know what you find. :smileyhappy:
