Urgent help excel sharepoint permissions
Thank you for your response. I actually need to perform a task. We are about a team of 10 persons collaborating on a particular microsoft sharepoint excel document. Each person has a specific column on the excel sheet. And we want a situation where every member of the team can only view and edit their specific column on the excel sheet. How can we achieve this?

- Kelly_EdingerBronze ContributorYou can set permissions by range in Excel. Check out these two articles: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/excel/apply-password-to-separate-range and with helpful screenshots https://www.extendoffice.com/documents/excel/1807-excel-allow-certain-users-to-edit.html
Hope that helps! Hello aajufoh
Excel inherits the permissions from SharePoint. Your case it's definitivly a Excel question. I'm sure, a Excel pro can help you 😉
